I'm currently working on a musical review with a young cast.
This morning I got word that one of the young dancers broke her neck diving into a pool.
She was rushed into surgery and as of this evening she took some steps but does not have feeling in one of her arms.
I don't know why I am telling you this except that I ask you to send good thoughts her way.

Geez, that's horrible.
Awful, awful, awful . . . all possible wishes of hope to her and her family. Please update us on progress down the road.
Unbelievably tragic.

Good Morning Dark Lady,
Good thoughts go out to her and to you. Don't let all that's going on around you get you down.
If she's already taking steps, she's pretty lucky. Swelling will be an issue for the next few days, after that she may get the feeling back in her arm. Best of luck to her.
Oh my God! That is terrible!
Best wishes to her on a speedy recovery.
Hi DL,
When I was 16, I nearly killed myself diving off the high dive at the pool. We would stand on the back guardrails and leap over the concrete to dive into the pool.
One time I slipped. And as the cement was coming up fast, I stretched, and stretched.
I scraped the front of my toes on the edge of the pool.
I spend a lot of time with my kids warning them about diving, and teaching them how to figure out if you should even try, and when you need to tell your friends to piss up a rope.
I highly recommend teaching your children. Diving is second to driving as a young person death/disability cause.
XO
Chuck
